Oodrive actively contributes to the European Cloud security label project

Oodrive, the European leader in sensitive content management, is the first player to obtain the ANSSI (French National Agency for Information Systems Security) Security Visa through SecNumCloud qualification for all its Private Cloud services.

1 December 2021 – Oodrive, the European leader in sensitive content management,is the first player to obtain the ANSSI (French National Agency for Information Systems Security) Security Visa through SecNumCloud qualification for all its Private Cloud services. This qualification marks the completion of the quality and security process that Oodrive began several years ago.

Moreover, in response to the French government’s objective to technically and legally secure the Cloud services of French companies, a new label has been created: the Cloud de Confiance” label. Only companies that hold the SecNumCloud qualification and which are able to demonstrate their independence from non-European laws will qualify for this label. Against this background, Oodrive fully meets the requirements of the “Cloud de Confiance” label.

However, Oodrive has gone one step further by stepping up its security efforts with the launch of a European certification project.

To this end, Oodrive has worked with the ENISA (European Network and Information Security Agency), the European counterpart of ANSSI, to develop a European security label project. François-Xavier Vincent, Oodrive’s CISO and DPO, is part of a selected panel of 20 experts tasked with developing a Cloud security certification standard for Europe in an effort to strengthen digital confidence.

To date, the cornerstone issue lies in securing digital sovereignty in the face of the GAFAM (Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon and Microsoft). Oodrive is convinced that infrastructures, platforms and other non-European web access points must be avoided. With this in mind, the French company is committed to consolidating its position as an opinion leader in an endeavor to guarantee European data security and safeguard its customers’ digital independence.

The standard will be completed at end-2021 and Oodrive will focus on a pilot model in 2022. As a result, Oodrive will be one of the first to qualify for the coveted label which will be offered to companies in 2023.
