Oodrive is opening its Sales Academy, to better serve its customers and drive long-term engagement with its employees

To rise to these challenges, on March 14, Oodrive will launch its Sales Academy: a customized training program to support sales teams, boost their skills development and adaptation to corporate culture, as well as providing a platform on which to build their careers.

Turnover for sales teams* in corporations can jump as high as 50%, despite such teams forming the heartbeat of organizational growth. As your customers’ first point of contact, these profiles are also your brand’s main ambassadors. That said, proven sales skills are no longer enough to make expert partners. This is all the more apparent when dealing with complex issues, which applies to Oodrive as the European leader in the management of sensitive content. To rise to these challenges, on March 14, Oodrive will launch its Sales Academy: a customized training program to support sales teams, boost their skills development and adaptation to corporate culture, as well as providing a platform on which to build their careers.

Supporting growth by developing new technical and soft skills

Since the start of the health crisis, remuneration is no longer the main motivational driver for potential and existing employees. The employee experience within the company is now just as important. The time has come to fully onboard employees and support them over time, with fulfilling career development opportunities.

Oodrive plans to recruit 200 new staff in 2022, providing further leverage in tackling these challenges and fueling its growth in secure collaborative software packages. A Sales Academy that will open its doors on March 14, 2022 with the ambition of creating an effective “Oodrive Sales model” to level up performance, deliver impact for customers and inspire our employees.

Aline Nivaud, Head of People at Oodrive, commented: “Recruiting candidates with the relevant sales experience and expertise is a must, but in today’s market, that is not enough. We need to do more than simply acquiring a skill set. To position our employees on the road to success, we must let them access all of the knowledge and culture of our company, to better understand our products, but also what brought them to life. As such, our employees can be inspired by our values and share them, to perform in their business and, beyond that, to fulfil their own potential with a career at Oodrive.”

Creating the path to success with a focus on customer service

For our new arrivals, Oodrive has developed a custom-made program, over four weeks, which includes several modules and can be adapted to all sales profiles. This training program combines theory with practice in three learning areas: product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer relationships. The program will also include fully shared knowledge of the history of our company, its organization and its strategy, so that employees have a clear overview of us and what we do.

Sylvain Lefeuvre, Head of Global Sales at Oodrive, commented: “Oodrive has invested heavily in its core business, namely the development of its collaborative package. Now that these solutions and their strategy have been developed, we are ready to move to the next level as we deliver these services to our customers. These are the people that our Sales Academy graduates will serve first and foremost. We work in a sensitive, complex and fiercely competitive technological environment. All of our sales teams must strive for the same goal, speak the same language and be able to support our customers in their decision-making as well as in mastering our solutions.”

Mastering the ecosystem for enhanced self-fulfillment

All department managers (Products, Marketing, Legal, HR, Security, etc.) are committed to our new solution. Modules, which last for one week, are validated by an examination. The training program concludes with a speaking presentation on a customer case study, to immerse new arrivals in scenarios as close to real life as possible. The purpose for Oodrive and applicants: confirming an ambition to write our story together. This support will then continue daily, on the job.

The Sales Academy is not just for new arrivals either; rather it has been designed to meet the needs of all customer-facing employees, so that they are at ease in communicating our corporate message, and also so that they can make smooth and positive progress on their chosen career path.

Stéphane Ankaoua, General Manager at Oodrive, commented: “Through our Sales Academy, we provide each of our dedicated employees with a platform for growth within Oodrive. At Oodrive, we want to create a strong identity which will not only foster customer loyalty, but also encourage dedication from our own teams. Sales Academy graduates will be managers who have understood what Oodrive is and what it wants to create and know how to contribute to this journey. This project is fully in line with our values: ambition, responsibility and team spirt.”
